In a tragic event in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, two individuals lost their lives due to a bear attack. This information was confirmed by a police official on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the forests near the villages of Jamgadi and Khanuwa, approximately 60 kilometers from the district headquarters.
According to Jitendra Singh Bhadauria, the officer in charge of the Sarai police station, the victims, Ganesh Prasad Vaishya (40) and Hira Shah (41), were attacked by the wild bear while they were grazing goats and other livestock.
Following the incident, a team from the forest department arrived at the scene and advised local villagers to avoid entering the forest for safety reasons. Bhadauria also mentioned that assistance will be provided to the families of the deceased in accordance with government schemes and forest department regulations.
